"Nothing new under the sun" - but pioneering fresh ways within church

When one thinks of pioneer ministry in one sense there is nothing new under the sun! - It's a remembering of what we have always been called to - of course,
that is true.

Its about engagement with those outside of the 4 walls of the church - that's what we've always been called to - but is it more than that. 

On Saturday we are having a prayer vigil in the Diocese - I am currently setting up a prayer station on the theme of vocations to Pioneer Ministry which will be one station amongst many looking at particular themes. 

The challenge with this particular topic is that it is such a wide topic as pioneer Ministry can encompass so much - but what it must be is pioneering! ... beyond what is at the moment - reaching those with little or no connection to church. 

There are so many we currently are not connecting with as church - how do we go beyond our doors, or open our doors wide enough and give an invitation to get involved?
